A fine 4 margin example of this rarest of plates of the imperforated printing of the 1d Red Brown.
Struck by a Trowbridge numeral "813" cancellation.

1841 SG15aa 2d VIOLET BLUE PLATE 4 LAVENDER TINTED THICK PAPER A FINE PAIR BG/BH
 In this very distinctive "violet" shade, this lovely looking pair, has margin just cut into below
BH, just clear NW corner of BG,
otherwise good to large margins above and to the right.  It is on thick lavender tinted paper with the pinkish line around the head, 
and has been lightly cancelled in Liverpool. A rare item from the 1851 printing. Spec ES16. SG Cat 3600.00 as singles.

1867 SG114 10d Deep Brown (PL) Plate 1. Watermark Spray. A very fine unused stamp, lightly hinged with full gum.
One pulled perforation along the bottom, but this is one of the nicest looking examples of this issue we have had for many years and is priced accordingly.

1867 SG119 2s Deep Blue (TB) Plate 1. Watermark spray. A very fine unused stamp, lightly hinged with full gum.
 It appears to be original but with some slight sweating and redistribution. However, it is one of the nicest looking examples of this issue we have had for many years and is priced accordingly.

 1887 JUBILEE SG200 2d GREY GREEN & CARMINE VERY RARE SECOND SETTING CORNER MARGINAL
A very lightly mounted mint example, with full original gum, from the very rare 2nd marginal setting with two continuous rules in green and carmine in the margin. The 1st setting has no rules, and the 3rd setting continuous green but broken carmine rules. 
In over 25 years of collecting marginal pieces of the Jubilee issue, we have seen only around 8 examples of this very rare setting, and only 2 of them from the corner.

 1887 JUBILEE SG204 3d PURPLE ON ORANGE PAPER MINT BLOCK OF 4 EX. HAROLD FISHER

A rare block of 4 from the famous Harold fisher collection, sold by Phillips in 1983
 - over 30 years ago for just under 1000.00. Extremely lightly mounted if at all, the bottom right stamp has a small mark of adhesion, the others less. The top of the NE stamp
is slightly "oily". On the "orange" paper, these are extremely rare in multiples,
and this one may possibly now be unique. Spec K32(3)

1855 C7 ABNORMAL 1d RED BROWN PLATE 23 VERY FINE USED RARE (PJ)  

Watermark Small crown, Perf 14, Die II, Alphabet III, Blued Paper.  A very fine used example of this rare stamp, from the first few months of the print run with Alphabet III letters.
The "P" on this stamp is very distinctive. Neatly struck by a Scottish roller cancellation. Rare so fine. SG Cat 950.00

Unmounted mint pane of 20 in pristine condition from the 5th marginal setting.  
Certified as pane "P" by a small cross in corner of margin. Varieties noted: Stamp R1/3 - break in frame N/W value tablet, 
stamp R2/1 - ink dot by SW value tablet, & stamp R2/3 - break in frame S/E value tablet. 
Few stamps also showing wear to head plate. Light crease running down the edge of the right margin.

A fine and fresh unused block of 6, with original gum. All stamps are hinged except for DE which appears to be mint never hinged.
Margins just cut into on CG & DG. Light vertical bend between the right pair, and 2 spots on the front.
It does have imperfections, but a very scarce multiple nonetheless. SG Cat around 3600.00 as singles, plus premium for a block.

1880 2s Brown (AA) Plate 1. Watermark spray. A superb used example of this scarcest of stamps,
from the "first off the sheet" position, beautifully struck by a London late duplex, leaving the head almost fully clear.
This is easily the finest examples of this stamp we have ever handled.

1880-83 Crown watermark bit in sheet brass, stitched to a calling card comprising of pairs of marginal corners and large and small crosses.
The image of the Post office Mill sheet shows the position of the crosses and corners in the margins of the watermark. A rare item.
